The Montessori Toddler Program

toddler

The Montessori Toddler Program is open to children aged 18 months to 3 years. Half-day (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) and full day (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM) classes are available for three, four or five day enrollment. This environment capitalizes on the young child's interest in imitating the activities of adults while developing their ability to concentrate and enhance motor skills and social skills. A weekly Music class is offered for students.

Montessori toddler environments are set up to allow for the emerging independence and developing sense of self of this unique age group. The program provides a consistent environment with logical limits, flexibility and support. The materials in the classroom continue to change as the child grows emotionally, physically and intellectually while consistently appealing to the child's natural curiosity. A warm, nurturing, stable staff emphasizes routine and order to accommodate the toddler's need for security while giving the child skills they will use throughout life.

The Montessori environment is prepared for the young child; organized from simple to complex, moving from left to right on the shelves.

The toddler is on the road to independence, hence these freedoms found in the Montessori classroom facilitate the process.

At this early age, we see the child developing his powers of concentration. This accomplishment will last him a lifetime.

Our Montessori Program is designed to meet the needs of every child. We attempt to satisfy the scheduling requirements of each family. In order to facilitate your child's adjustment to school, we ask you to allow your child to enter the room independently while you wait in the hallway. A teacher will be at the door to greet the children.
